My sincerest sympathies and thoughts are with you all during this time of such a great loss. I was honored and great full to have been one of Helens caregivers for the past year. There are some people that come into your life and an unspoken bond is formed immediately. I was very fortunate to have had that with Helen, even for a brief time. Through this past year and all the many challenges Helen faced, she remained unwaveringly spirited with a determination to remain independent. She always was so very appreciative of others who offered their assistance or when finally she could not complete a task by herself. As I spent many days with her I shall most and always remember her beaming smile and her loving heart. I believe what brought Helen the most joy was her children and her late husband Norman. She spoke of them often throughout the day with such joy, pride and love. Ive seen first hand that the love a family has for one another can provide such strength, comfort and love as this very special family did for their mother in so many ways. I shall always remember Helen and carry her memory in my heart along with her bright smile. RIP S.H.
