Parlin
Helen K. Hils age 93 formally of the Parlin section of Old Bridge passed away Monday December 23, 2013 at her son’s home in Canaan, New Hampshire with her loving family at her side. Born Portsmouth, New Hampshire she has resided in Parlin for the past 60 years. Before her retirement she was employed by the Old Bridge Board of Education for over 20 years as a teacher’s aide. Mrs. Hils was a former Girl Scout leader and a member of Sayrewoods Bible Church in Old Bridge.

She is predeceased by her husband Norman Hils in 2005 and her son in law Fred Brus. Surviving are her children Gigi Hils Brus of Virginia, Norm M. Hils and his wife Denna of Texas, Gerri Hodges of Virginia, Geoff Hils of New Hampshire, her grandchildren Tim Hodges and his wife Julie, Sarah Hils, Nathaniel Hils, Chris Hodges, Heather Hils, Elizabeth Hils, her great grandchild Zoe Hodges, and her sister Evelyn Barrett of Florida.

Funeral services will be held Monday December 30, 2013, 10:30am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with burial to follow at New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, N.J.
