Obituary for William R "Bill" Sonta Jr.
Millstone Township
William R. Sonta Jr. age 66 of Millstone Township passed away Sunday March 20, 2016 at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Hackensack he had resided in Sayreville before moving to Millstone Township in 1992. William worked for 30 years at Industrial Truck Body in Elizabeth retiring in 2001, as Vice President. After his retirement he was the owner of Connie’s Bar Grill and Night Club in Morgan section of Sayreville for 5 years. William was a former member of the Raritan Road Runners Motorcycle Club.
He is predeceased by his parents William R. & Jeanette Sonta Sr. Surviving are his wife Andrea Greco Sonta, his children and their spouses Denise & Ken Ackerman, Kim & Tom Repsha, Jennifer Smith and William R. & Shari III, his step children Lisa Camerato and Greg Camerato, his grandchildren Matthew, Victoria, Jessica, Christine, Tom, Krystin, Daynielle, Alyssa, Patrick, Christopher, Michael, Audrey, Samantha, Joseph and Jimmy, his great grandchildren Jonathan, Jaelyn and Gianna, his brother John Sonta and his wife Mary, his sister Willette Greer and his brother Jeffrey Sonta.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday 3pm to 8pm.
Funeral services will be held Thursday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9:30am Liturgy of The Word at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Donations in William’s memory can be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
