Old Bridge
William "Bill" Francis Hughes, devoted husband and father, passed away on May 28, 2014 at his home at the age of 42. Born in Redbank, he grew up in the Parlin section of Sayreville before moving to Old Bridge 12 years ago. Bill was employed for 17 years by Prudential Financial as an IT technologist.

Bill was an avid sports fan with a passion for the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers. He continued to live his love of baseball through coaching his son for both the Cheesequake Baseball League and Sayrewoods South Little League for the past 5 years. His greatest joy was being actively involved with each of his 4 children and guiding them as a proud father through sports, school, and life. His ultimate devotion throughout his life was to his wife and family.

He is predeceased by his parents William and Patricia Hughes. Surviving are his wife of 14 years, Joann Nowicki Hughes, his children Shane (9), Kyle (8), Carli (4), and Lauren (4), his sisters MaryBeth McDermott and her husband Kevin of Monroe and Colleen E.
