Obituary for Wanda Ziobro

Wanda Ziobro
Wanda Ziobro of Parlin, joined our Lord in Heaven peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 96.
Wanda was born on November 10, 1923 in South Amboy, NJ; the daughter of Antoinette and Vincent Labenski. At age 16 she began working for DuPont Chemical Company and worked there until she met and married the love of her life, Raymond Ziobro, also of South Amboy.
Wanda and Raymond settled in Sayreville, where they built a home and had four beautiful daughters, who were the light of their lives. Wanda was a proud homemaker and built her life around raising her family. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville and kept her faith and love for God close to her heart throughout her life. She contributed towards the weekly rosary service at her senior living complex by selecting and distributing materials each week. Wanda loved crafts and was especially talented at flower arranging. Her creativity and appreciation for nature will continue to live on through her beautiful seasonal flower displays and wreaths that she designed that are still on display in her senior living complex.
Wanda is predeceased by her husband Raymond, her daughter Donna Zalewski, her son in law Paul Zalewski, and her grandchildren Joseph Brignoli and Mandy Schmidt. She is also predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Stanley Labenski and two sisters, Mary Zalewski and Frances Hrankowski.
Surviving are her three daughters: Anne Connelly and her husband Thomas, Mary Schmidt and her husband Mark, and Theresa Coppola and her husband Patrick. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren Tina Brignoli, and David Schmidt and his wife Karen, as well as her great-grandsons Jake Michalowski and Evan Schmidt, and her niece Camy Hrankowski. Wanda is further survived by her two very special friends, Candy Kolmansperger and Norma Munoz, who were not just her caretakers, but angels on earth that made her last years on this earth happy and comfortable and have become a valued part of her family.
Wanda’s favorite past times were spending time with her cherished family, sewing and crafting, trips to the ocean, and caring for several much-loved pets throughout her life. She spent many hours enjoying her beautiful backyard through planting, gardening, and feeding the birds. She had a deep faith and love for God and lived out those beliefs every day of her life. She was a kind, loving, independent soul with a quick wit and a zest for life. She was a genuinely special woman who brought a sense of serenity, poise, and quiet grace to all who knew her. Wanda’s generosity, contagious laugh, kind eyes, and gentle sweet smile will be remembered and missed by all.
