Theresa Carey Kolmansperger, age 76 of Parlin, passed away Thursday March 12, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pittston, PA, she had resided in Parlin for the past 52 years. Before her retirement, Theresa worked for Consolidated Cigar Corp in Pittston PA, the Sayreville Drive-In in South Amboy, the Pines Manor and most recently as a deli worker at Food Town in South Amboy. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville and a member of their Senior Club.
She is predeceased by her parents David and Helen Carey, her sister Helen Gregor and her beloved grandson Steven Francis Griffin.
Surviving are her loving husband of 52 years, Francis, her loving children Sharon Griffin and her husband Scott of Parlin, Rose Tarantino and her husband Robert of Clark, James of Parlin, her cherished grandchildren Patrick James, Scott David, Anthony James, Andrew Stephen, Sara Rose, her brother David Carey and her sister Sally Bynack.
Funeral services will be Monday 9am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with a 9:30am mass to follow at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will take place at New Calvary Cemetery in Parlin.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2pm to 6pm.
