Sayreville
Robert J. Davis, age 84 of Sayreville passed away Saturday January 25th 2014 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Brooklyn, NY he had resided in Old Bridge before moving to Sayreville 34 years ago. Before his retirement he was employed as a Crane Operator, and was a member for 60 years, of the Operators Engineers Local Union 825 in Springfield. Mr. Davis attended St Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville, was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2061 in Parlin and he enjoyed couponing, cooking and loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and his great-granddaughter.

He is predeceased by his wife Maureen, his son Michael, his grandson Michael, his sister Violet Olsen and his brother William. Surviving are his children Kim Davis of Sayreville, Robert M. and his wife Katherine of South Amboy, William and his wife Debbie of Franklin, NY and Kerri Gorman of Parlin, his grand children Christopher, Charles, Kelly, Patrick and Peter Gorman, Alexis, Nicole, Amy, William, Jessica, and Jonathan Davis, his great-granddaughter Kayla Pilch, his sister Barbara Becker of Long Island, NY and his brother-in-laws Jon Numair of CO and Solomon Numair of FL.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 10:15am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with an 11:00am Mass at St Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville. A private cremation will follow.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Robert’s name to Haven Hospice, JFK Medical Center Foundation, 80 James St, Edison NJ 08820.
