Richard J. Stephanick, age 80 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy with his loving family by his side. Born at South Amboy Hospital, Richard was a lifelong resident of Sayreville. He was a proud graduate of Sacred Heart High School and after graduation proudly served his country in the Korean War as a member of the US Army. Before his retirement he was employed as a Production Control Coordinator for Lockheed Martin in Plainfield for many years. Mr. Stephanick was also a communicant of St. Bernadette’s RC Church.

Richard is predeceased by his parents Frank & Rose (Malik) Stephanick and his twin brother Ronald. Surviving are his daughter and her husband Kathleen & Ramon DeOcampo of Sayreville; grandchildren Christopher & Stephanie; sister-in-law Linda Stephanick of Hamilton; and Lori & Bill Glynn of Manahawkin and their children.

Funeral services will take place Thursday at 9:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin followed by a 10am mass at St. Bernadette’s RC Church and burial at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.

Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm & 7pm to 9pm.
