Obituary for Richard Edward Czech

Richard  Edward   Czech
Richard E. Czech, age 76, of Meridianville, AL, formerly of Monroe, NJ passed away on June 30, 2016. Before relocating to Alabama in 2008, Richard was employed by Perrine Pontiac as a salesman for many years. He was also a proud member of the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962. Rich and his wife loved to travel and visited many countries and islands. He also enjoyed fishing, crabbing, working in the yard and solving crossword puzzles. We would also like to thank Fr. Joy Chalissery for his prayers and loving care during this very difficult time.

He is predeceased by his parents Edward Frank Czech and Laura Ann Dombrowski, his brother Ronald Czech and son-in-law John Colgate. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years Gloria Pawlowski; his four loving children Sheri and her husband Joseph Brush, Colleen Colgate, Richard (R.C.); and Todd and his wife Kim; Grandchildren Dylan Colgate & Emily and Allison Czech; brother Edward and his wife Robin, sister Lorraine and husband Angelo Kapetanakos and Thomas Czech and his girlfriend Lou.

Funeral services will be Thursday 8:30am from M.A. Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Avenue, South River with a 9am funeral mass to follow at St. Mary of Ostrabrama RC Church. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park in East Brunswick.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm & 7pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Richard’s name to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1055 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758.
