Obituary for Priscilla Wojtowicz (Mayes)

Parlin
Priscilla Mayes Wojtowicz, age 79 of Parlin, passed away Wednesday August 12, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Elizabeth, she had resided in Hillside before moving to Parlin 13 years ago. Before her retirement, Priscilla worked the concession stands at Brendan Byrne Arena for many years. She was a communicant of St. Bernadette’s RC Church in Parlin and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is predeceased by her son Michael in 1961 and her husband Joseph in February of 2015.
Surviving are her children Karyn and Wes Norton of PA, Heidi Farley of Parlin, Andrew and Lisa of Old Bridge, her grandchildren Sean, Emily, Morgan, Paige, Jason, Stevie, Jessica, her brother Robert Mayes, and her sisters Marge Kane and Bettie Stier.
Priscilla will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and her love of sports, in particular the New York Mets and the Dallas Cowboys.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 10:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, with an 11am mass at St. Bernadette’s RC Church in Parlin. Burial will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle NJ Veteran Cemetery in Wrightstown.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey 31 Evans Terminal Hillside, NJ 07205.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
