South Amboy
Mildred Bonner O’Connell, age 95, passed away Saturday April 27, 2013 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born and raised in Jersey City she had resided in South Amboy for the past 13 years. Before her retirement 32 years ago she was employed for 15 years in the clerical department of Jonathan Logan Financial in Secaucus. Mrs. O’Connell was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, South Amboy Senior Citizens Club, and was a communicant of Saint Nicholas R. C. Church in Jersey City where she was a member of the Fatima Society of St Nicholas.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph T. O’Connell in 1970. Surviving are her children and their spouses: Timothy & Rosanne O’Connell of Kearny, and Laurel & Peter Danchisko of Parlin; her grandchildren Amy (Thomas Levicky), Matthew, Michael and Andrew; great-grandchildren Lucy Rose and Harrison Levicky, and her sister, Dorothy Hatcher, of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 9am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 10:30am mass at Saint Nicholas R. C. Church in Jersey City with burial to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, N.J.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
