Parlin
Mildred Bartkus age 91 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away Tuesday September 17, 2013 at Regency Park Nursing Home, Hazlet. Born in Brooklyn, New York she had resided in Flushing before moving to Parlin in 2002. Before her retirement she was employed as a nurse/Anesthetist for several New York hospitals retiring from Woodhull Hospital, in Brooklyn. Mildred was a communicant of Saint Bernadette’s R. C. Church in Parlin.

She is predeceased by her parents William & Anna Bartkus, her siblings Vincent Bartkus, Marian Marquardt, Julia Haroff, Irene Borchester, and Helen Sullivan. Surviving are her brother Jerome Bartkus, and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9:15am mass at St Bernadette’s R. C. Church in Parlin with burial to follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens, N.Y.
