Old Bridge
Michelle Lauro Kerchner, age 62, passed away Tuesday December 18, 2018 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Irvington, she had lived in Old Bridge most of her life. Michelle worked for ARBE Landscaping in Englishtown and Mr. Appliance in Jamesburg. She was a veteran of the US Marine Corp. She was an avid softball player and played many years in leagues in Sayreville and Old Bridge. Michelle loved to play bingo, but her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow. Anything they needed, she was there for them. She never missed a performance, whether it be sports, plays or concerts, she was there.
She is predeceased by her parents Miguel and Florence Lauro.
Surviving are her loving children Heather Tumbleson and her husband Michael, David Kerchner and his girlfriend Jill Bull, her beloved grandchildren Ariana Kerchner, Andrew Florio, Anya and Allegra Tumbleson, her sister and brother in law Anita & Joe Gesualdo and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be Sunday 4pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, NJ.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
A private cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Michelle’s name be made to the American Diabetes Association 2451 Crystal Drive Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
