Marie A. Zamorski, 81, of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at JFK Hospital in Edison, surrounded by her beloved family. Marie was born in the Bronx and raised in Staten Island, NY. She graduated from The Notre Dame University in Staten Island, NY with a Bachelor’s Degree in business and education. Upon graduating from college she was employed by the law firm of Stone and Webster, NYC. Marie married Eugene F. Zamorski on September 29, 1956, moved to NJ and took a position with Chicopee Manufacturing Corporation in Milltown, NJ. (Division of JNJ).
Marie especially enjoyed gardening, cooking and quality time spent with her family and grandchildren. She devoted over 14 years as a volunteer and assistant to the local Girl Scout troops. She was an active member of the Sayreville Senior Citizens Wednesday club for over 20 years.

Marie was predeceased by her husband, Eugene F. Zamorski and by her parents Vincent and Kate Gracchi. Surviving are her daughters, Janet Zamorski, Terri Payne and her husband Chris, and Carol Zamorski Sweeney and her husband Joseph; her grandchildren, Christopher R. and Alexander T. Payne; her brother Vincent Gracchi and his wife Elaine and dozens of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday 9am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9:30am mass at Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
