Sayreville
Madelyn Hackett Shara, age 89 of Sayreville passed away Friday June 24th 2011 at Merwick Care Center in Plainsboro. Born in Jersey City, she had resided in Sayreville for the past 15 years. Before her retirement, Mrs. Shara worked as a custodial worker for the Jersey City Board of Education for 20 years.
She is predeceased by her husband Eugene in 1997 and her son James in 1993.
Surviving are her children and their spouses Mildred Miller and William of Jackson, Eugene and Kathleen of Cranford, Veronica Enrri and Joseph of Sayreville, Timothy of Medford and John of Sayreville, her grandchildren Lauren, Michael, Kelly, Andrew, Timothy, Eugene, Allison Joseph and James, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday 9:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville with a burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
