Cooking Buddy

To My Dear Grandmother,

My best buddy, confident and teacher.

I remember always waking up and smelling all the wonderful goodies you would always be cooking or baking in the house as you did most days of my youth. We would hang out in the kitchen together and you would teach me all about preparing meals and baking your famous cookies from the time i was a little girl. You would always tell me it tasted good even when i messed up the sauce or burned the cookies as i did numerous times until i finally perfected it. You always encouraged me to do the very best that life had to offer. I have those many happy memories of our many times together in the kitchen and they will remain close to my heart. Everytime i make cookies i always remember your saying about never measuring just throw what you think in the bowl and go from there you can't go wrong.

Growing up with you in our household as a role model was a true inspiration.. The fact that i had you for so long into my adult life has been a wonderful experience and part of the person i am today is because of the amazing woman your were and encouraged me to be. I thank you for being my grandmother and know that i will always love you and you are in my heart forever.
