Lawrence A. Sengstack, age 68 of Keyport, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick to Ferdinand and Rose Howley Sengstack he resided in Sayreville and Old Bridge before moving to Keyport in 2000. Mr. Sengstack was the co-owner & Corporate Secretary and Treasurer of Advanced Built Structures Inc in Jersey City for the past 5 years, prior to that co-owner of American Flyer Performance and prior to that as a first class millwright for E. I. Du Pont in Sayreville where he worked for 15 years and served as vice president of the plant union. Lawrence was a life member of the NHRA and a member of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association.

He is predeceased by his parents Ferdinand & Rose Howley Sengstack and step mother Claire Mailloux Sengstack. Surviving are his wife Deidre McCarthy, his children and their spouses Laura A. Panchenko of Jamesburg, Kimberly & Dr. Louis Leva of Manalapan, Shannon Rose Sengstack and Kelsey Lauren Sengstack both of Keyport, his grandchildren Sophia K. Castelhano, Felicia S. Panchenko, Joshua J. Panchenko, Logan E. Leva, his great granddaughters Gabriella, Gianna and Angelina Castelhano and his siblings and their spouses Elaine & Edward Smith of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Colleen & Gary Genovese of Monroe Township, Diane & Raymond Whitehead of Spotswood and Gary & Barbara Sengstack of Jackson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Avenue South River followed by a 9am mass at Saint Mary of Ostrabrama R. C. Church in South River with burial to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm.
