Kenneth J. Muroski Sr., age 86 of Parlin, passed away peacefully at the Venetian Care Center in South Amboy. Born in Johnsonburg, PA, he had lived in Parlin for the past 59 years. Before his retirement, Ken worked as a master tech for the service department at Elizabeth Town Gas in Union for 37 years. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Bernadette’s RC Church in Parlin where he was an usher and worked bingo. Ken was a member of the St. Bernadette’s Seniors and the St. Bernadette’s Knights of Columbus.
He is predeceased by his parents Wade and Ann Muroski and his daughter Pamela Del Duca.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, the former Mary Jane Zimmerman, his children and their spouses Kenneth Jr. and Mary, Joseph and Lillian, Edward and Michele, Barbara and Warren Saccente, Peter and Patty, Matthew and Laura, his son in law Frank Del Duca, 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, his brothers Fr. Leon Muroski, Philip and Rosemary, Thomas and Mary Ellen and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, with a funeral mass to follow at St. Bernadette’s RC Church in Parlin. Burial will take place at Forest Green Cemetery in Marlboro.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 4pm to 8pm.
