Obituary for Kaja C Switzer (Westergaard)
Sayreville
Kaja C. Westergaard Switzer, age 94, passed away peacefully at The Venetian Care Center in South Amboy. Born in Vodden, Denmark, she had lived in Sayreville for many years. Before her retirement, Kaja worker for Bristol Meyer Squibb in New Brunswick. She was an active member of the Conklin United Methodist Church in South River. She was a former member of the Washington School PTA and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxilary Post 4699.
She is predeceased by her husband William Switzer in 2000 her son in law Barry Cooke, her daughter in law Kelly Switzer, and her brother Peter Westergaard.
Surviving are her children and their spouses Donna & William Schutsky, Debbie Cook, William, Richard, her grandchildren Kimberly, Brian, Robin, Kellie, Jill, David, Brooke, Richard, Blake, Ryan, her great-grandchildren Craig, Emily, Lauren, Jake, Kyle, Dylan, Tucker, Spencer, Brody, Mackenna, Madison, Alex, Arianna, Callie, Cori, Richard & Paige, her sister Sonya Merrill.
Funeral services will be Thursday 5pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin NJ 08859.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 2pm to 6pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kaja’s name may be made to The Alzheimer Association 225 N. Michigan Ave FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
