Joseph  D "Joe"  Bilicska
Joseph “Joe” D. Bilicska of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at his home. Born in Union he had resided in Parlin for the past 22 years. Joe was a graduate of Stevens Institute of technology with a BE in Mechanical Engineering. Joe was employed as a Mechanical and Building Engineer for the United States Postal Service in Manhattan for 28 years. He was a huge Dead Head fan going to see as many Grateful Dead, Further, Dead & Company, and Ratdog shows as he could. Joe was an avid gardener who enjoyed growing many different vegetables and flowers at his home and liked taking care of his 2 fish ponds. He loved to travel with his wife and practice underwater photography in the Caribbean. Joe was a humble and regular guy who will truly be missed by his numerous friends and family all who had the pleasure of having him cross their path in this life.

He is predeceased by his father Joseph Bilicska and his brother-in-law John M. Golden his father and mother-in-law John and Marcella Golden. Surviving are his loving wife of 34 years, Marcella Golden Bilicska, his dear mother Helen Bilicska of Union, his brother Carl Bilicska and his wife Bernadette, his sister Diane and her husband Tonyand sister-in-laws, Cecilia and George Alexander, Lorraine Golden, Timothy and Ann Golden, Connie and Larry Bottiglieri, Celeste and Edmund Sykes, Maryjoan and Keith Sena and Colleen and Neil Flannery and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Monday 8:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a 9am Mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Amboy. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Parlin.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Joe's name to the Sacred Heart Church Building Fund, 531 Washington Ave, South Amboy, NJ, 08879.
