John Zavattiere, age 61 of Sayreville passed away Wednesday, April 15th 2015 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel surrounded by his loving family. John was born in New York City. He was employed by American Solenoid in Somerset working in the shipping and receiving department. He was an avid fisherman and loved being on the water.

He was predeceased by his parents Orzio and Veronica Zavattiere. Surviving are his wife of 22 years, the former Kathy Kuczynski, his step-children James and Joseph Straczynski and Susan VanValkenburgh and her husband Robert, his grandsons James Straczynski and Trevor VanValkenburgh and his brother Richard Zavattiere and his wife Michelle.

Funeral services are private under the direction of the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin.
