Obituary for John Tothe
Matawan
John Tothe, age 68 of Matawan passed away Sunday February 10th 2019 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Holden, West Virginia, John was raised in Jersey City, then lived in Colonia, before moving to Matawan 5 years ago. He was a self-employed Real Estate Broker for many years. John was a musician and loved playing guitar, piano and bass. He filled his home with love and shared his love of music with his children and grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
He is predeceased by his father John.
Surviving are his loving wife Debra Baldasarre Tothe, his cherished children Christian and his wife Ericka, Erica, Danielle Sokolowski and her husband Gabe, his adored grandchildren Ava and Kylie Sokolowski, his mother Agatha, his brother Anthony and his wife Elizabeth and his sister Dianora.
Funeral services will be Thursday 9am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main St. Sayreville, with a 9:30am mass to follow at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. A private cremation will follow.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm.
