John S. Fitton age 82 passed away Friday March 11, 2016 at his home. Born in Stalybridge England he immigrated to the United States to Ramsey N.J. in 1957 then resided in Ringwood before moving to Manchester 25 years ago. Mr. Fitton served in the British Army in the 1950 and before his retirement was employed as a book keeper/time keeper for Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, where he worked for 30 years, and was a member of the United Auto Workers. John was a longtime member of Paramus Elks and was an avid soccer player as well as a soccer referee for many years.

He is predeceased by his wife Jacqueline Bliven Fitton. Surviving is his wife Mary Garvin Fitton, his daughters and their husbands Kathleen & James Makowski of Sayreville and Nancy & Giacomo Bolon of Beth Page, N.Y. his stepchildren Patty Garvin-Ambron, Glen Garvin and Steven Garvin, his daughter in law Anita Garvin, his grandchildren Michael, Gina, Michelle, Giacomo and Natalie, his great grandson Rocco and his step grandchildren Bobby, Kelly, Patrick, Sean, Steven, Christopher, Shanna, Carly and Quentin.

Funeral services will be held Monday 10am at the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville with burial to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
