Obituary for Jane Norma Davis (Berthelsen)
Browns Mills
Jane Norma Davis, age 93, originally of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Summer Hill Nursing Home in Old Bridge. Born and raised in Bloomfield, Jane was a lifelong resident of New Jersey, having married her beloved Frank on September 16, 1945 and raising their family together. Before marriage, Jane proudly served her country during WWII as an Acetylene Welder for Wildcat Fighter Jets. She also worked as a secretary for AT&T in Basking Ridge. In her spare time, Jane loved watching football and golf. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Jane is predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Davis, her parents Holger & Loretta Berthelsen, her daughter-in-law Allison Davis, and her 5 siblings. Surviving are her loving children Sandra and husband Gerald Stevens of RI, and Paul Davis of Browns Mills; her brother Paul Berthelsen of NC; her grandchildren and their spouses Keith Davis, Samantha & Bruce Reimels, Gerald, Jr. & Sarah Stevens, and Jessica & Nick Perron; and her adoring great-grandchildren Lindsey, Lila, Emmaline, and Josephine (with one more on the way).
Calling hours will take place on Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a prayer service at 6pm. A private cremation will follow.
Burial is scheduled at 11am on Friday at Cloverleaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge. Letters of condolence to the family, completed arrangements and directions may be found by visiting www.spezzifuneralhome.com.
