James J. McArthur age 84 of Parlin, passed away Friday March 8th 2013 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, with his family by his side. Born in Park Ridge, he had lived in Parlin for the past 53 years. Before his retirement, he worked as a tile man with Local 77 for over 40 years. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, the former Lorraine Oakes, his children James Richard and his wife Donna of MO, Bonnie Jean of MA, Randy Scott and his wife Pamela of Keansburg, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday 11am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with an entombment to follow at Holmdel Cemetery in Holmdel.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
