Obituary for Harriett Pesetsky (Jepsen)
Stroudsburg, PA
Harriett F. Jepsen Pesetsky, age 99, formerly of South River, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at Pleasant Valley Manor in Stroudsburg, PA. Born in Elizabeth, she had resided in South River for 45 years before moving to PA in 2009. Harriett was a homemaker, but she proudly worked during World War II at the GM plant making parts for airplanes. She was a real “Rosie the Riveter.” She was a communicant of Corpus Christi RC Church in South River where she was a former member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the South River Seniors and the Federated Women’s Club.
She is predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1983, her daughter Gail Hamilton in 1995, her brother John Jepsen in 2000 and her sisters Geraldine Tabacznski in 2000 and Winifred Bacsu in 2008.
Surviving are her son Guy Hyde and his wife Denise, her grandchildren Lynda Kopelakis, Colleen Higgins, Cynthia Scotto DiFrego, Ron Trimner, Christopher Trimner, 10 great-grandchildren and her brother Richard Jepsen.
Funeral services will be Thursday 11:30am at the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Ave. South River, with a burial to follow at Washington Monumental Cemetery in South River
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday morning from 9:00am to 11:30am.
