George F. Crawford III age 67 of South River passed away Friday April 5, 2013 at his home. Son of the late George F. Crawford Jr. & Letha May Norman Crawford, he was born in New Bern, North Carolina and had resided in South River all of his life. Before his retirement in 2002 he was employed for 33 years at Public Service Electric & Gas in New Brunswick retiring as office manager. Mr. Crawford was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a communicant of Corpus Christi R. C. Church in South River.

Surviving are his wife Sandra Kondratyk Crawford, his sons and their wives James & Joanne Crawford of Babylon, New York, and David & Sandra Crawford of Brownstown, MI., seven grandchildren William, Bryan, Alexandrea, Nicholas, Katherine, Michael and Ashley, his sisters Patricia Falkowski of Lake Forest, IL, and Dianne Tate of Port Smith, Virginia and his brother Joseph Crawford of Cary, NC.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Avenue, South River followed by a 9am mass at Corpus Christi R. C. Church in South River with private cremation to follow.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Monday from 7pm to 9pm.
