Obituary for Francis J. "Frank" Murphy
Parlin
Francis J. “Frank” Murphy, age 49, of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 17, 2016 with his loving and devoted family at his side. Born in Jersey City he has resided in Parlin for the past 13 years and Brick prior to that. Frank was a proud graduate of Marist High School in Bayonne. After his retirement Mr. Murphy was employed as a relay technician with PSE&G for 15 years, and was a member of IBEW Local 94. He was also a communicant of St. Bernadette’s RC Church.
Frank was predeceased by his father Francis Murphy, Sr. Surviving is his mother Mary Murphy of Parlin, his brother Michael of River Edge, his sister and her husband Kathleen & James Melando of Colonia; his dear friends William Murphy of River Edge, Juan Carlos Torres of River Edge; as well as many cousins & friends
Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:30am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00am mass at St. Bernadette’s RC Church in Parlin with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm & 7pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Frank’s name to the ASPCA at https://secure.aspca.org/donate/.
