Obituary for Florence P. "Flo" Kroeger
Parlin
Florence Prusik Kroeger, age 90 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away Monday December 19, 2016 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sayreville, Flo was a lifelong resident of the borough. Before her retirement in 1961, she worked as a secretary with EI DuPont Photo products for over 15 years. Florence was a member of a number of organizations, including the Tuesday Seniors Club, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Sayreville Historical Society, and the Mid-State Seniors Bowling League. She was also a longtime and devout communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church.
She is predeceased by her parents Stanley & Antoinette Prusik, son Robert in 1974, husband John F. Kroeger, Jr. in 1999; brothers Walter “Cloudy” in 2000, Matthew, Sr. in 2002, Charles in 2014, John in 1984, and sister Helen in 1991. Surviving is her sister-in-law Nancy Cuevas of Wall, stepsister Sally Dlugozimski of South River, stepbrother Edward Usczenski of South River, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday 9am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville with a 9:30am funeral mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church. Burial is to follow at New Calvary Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will take place Thursday from 4pm to 8pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Florence’s name to the OLV School Endowment Fund, 36 Main Street Sayreville, NJ 08872.
