Parlin
Edward D. Roberts, age 82, of Parlin passed away peacefully at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick on December 11, 2015. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA he had resided in Elizabeth before moving to Parlin for the past 46 years. Mr. Roberts went to both Penn State University and Farleigh Dickinson University and graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering. Before his retirement, Edward worked for Western Electric in Kearney for 10 years as well as Tung Sal Electric. Edward proudly served his country as a member of the US Army in the Korean War. He was a founding member of the Sayreville Athletic Association, a member of the Sacred Heart Holy Name Society, and a coach for both the Morgan Panthers and the Sayreville Little League.

Edward is predeceased by his parents Edward John and Adella Frances (Mitskus), & his brother-in-law Leonard Malusky. Surviving is his beloved wife of 58 years, Joan (Aleo), son Mark and his wife Donna of East Brunswick, and his sister Arlene of Lake Wales, FL.

A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday at 10am at Our Lady of Hope Church, 40 Park Ave. Wilkes Barre, PA followed by burial at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bear Creek, PA. Friends may call Tuesday at the church from 9am until time of Mass.
