Donna J. Baumer Peterson, age 73 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4th 2016 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy surrounded by her loving family. Born in Irvington she had resided in Parlin for the past 50 years. Donna was a talented hair dresser for many years in Springfield. She was a lifetime member of the South Amboy Boat Club of Woodbridge Ladies Auxiliary, enjoyed fishing, going to Atlantic City and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Margaret Baumer and her son Eric J. Peterson, Jr. Surviving are her devoted husband of 50 years, Eric, her daughters and their spouses, Charleen and William Montemurno, Annette Peterson, Cynthia and Thomas Roberts and Heather Peterson, 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, her brother Lawrence Baumer III and his wife Nancy, her Aunt Beverly Weiler, a niece, nephew and cousins.

Funeral services will take place Thursday 7pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a private cremation to follow.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4pm to 8pm.
