Obituary for Charles "Charlie" Acuna
Charles “Charlie” Acuna, age 80 of Newark passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Center for Hope in Elizabeth surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newark he had resided there his entire life. Before his retirement he owned and operated a construction company. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and so much more. He will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He is predeceased by his parents Antonio & Anna Acuna. Surviving is his beloved wife Rita O’Neill Acuna as well as his daughter Patricia LeBlanc and her husband Neil, his grandchildren Joseph and Noel and his great-granddaughter Peyton
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin. A private cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Charlie's name to the Center For Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1900 Raritan Rd, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076
