Obituary for Aurea Maria Acosta (Ortiz)
South Amboy
Aurea Maria Acosta, age 84 of South Amboy, passed away peacefully at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, she had lived in Atlantic City before moving to South Amboy. Aurea was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is predeceased by her husband Felix, her son David and her brother Asuncion Velasquez.
Surviving are her loving children Florence Pabon and her husband Ralph, Felix and his wife Theresa, Marilyn Jackson and her husband Anthony, Miriam Franco, her grandchildren Ralph, Sharisse, Jacqueline, Angel, Thomas, Beronica, Brando, Sandy, Melody, Julissa, Angel and David and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 11am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with a burial to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in East Brunswick.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 5pm to 9pm.
