Obituary for Anne M. Matthews (Hagan)
Anne M. Matthews, age 83 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away Tuesday January 6th 2015 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Born in Tarrytown, NY she had resided in Manasquan and Florida before moving to Parlin 6 years ago. Before her retirement Anne was employed as a sales representative for Tetley Tea in Montvale for 15 years. She was a communicant of St Bernadette RC Church in Parlin and was a member of the Point Pleasant Women’s Club.
She is predeceased by her first husband Leonard B. Young and her grandson Daniel Young. Surviving are her husband Francis Matthews, her son Dennis R. Young of Orlando, Fl, her grandchildren Dennis and Janina Young and her great-grandson Liam.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin followed by a 9:30am mass at St Bernadette's R.C. Church with burial to follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 7pm to 9pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Anne’s name to the Sayreville Rescue Squad.
