Sayreville
Ann Albert age 91 of Sayreville passed away Tuesday July 8, 2014 at McCarrick Care Center, Somerset. Born in Klien-Becegerekgumic, Romania to the late Nicholas and Anna Schmidt, she immigrated to Chicago and then to New York City before moving to Sayreville in 1955. Before her retirement in 1986 she was employed for 20 years at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Mrs. Albert was a communicant of Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy and a former member of the Sayreville Senior Citizens.

She is predeceased by her husband John Albert in 1994, and her siblings Barbara Moos and Carl Schmidt. Ann was a devoted mother and was able to spend many years with her grand children as they grew up. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Surviving are her children and their spouses Barbara Albert & Ernest Albanese of Montclair, Carole & Tom Mulvey of Parlin, John & Peggy Albert of So Plainfield, James & Robin Albert of Martinsville, and Douglas & Mary Albert of Cary N.C., her grandchildren Michael Rossi, Kevin & Erin Mulvey, John, Tim, Stefanie, Matthew, Katie and Mark Albert and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 8:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9am mass at Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Friday 4pm to 8pm. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations in Ann’s memory be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (JDRF) or the Midland Foundation P.O. Box # 5026 North Branch N.J. 08876.
