Toms River
Anna G. Lauro D’Apolito age 96 of Toms River passed away Tuesday May 26, 2015 at Holiday Care Center in Toms River. Born in Matawan she had resided most of her life in Woodbridge before moving to Toms River 7 years ago. Before her retirement in 1970 she was employed as a seamstress by Shot Brothers Inc in Perth Amboy for many years.

She is predeceased by her husband Angelo “Chippy” and her siblings James, Ralph, Joseph and Sam Lauro, Susan Sappio, Louisa Soccodato and Jenny Artelli. Surviving are her son and daughter- in- law Michael and Laura D’Apolito of Toms River, her grandchildren Matthew D’Apolito and Mary Bukowinskig, her great-grandson Kennan and her sister Nancy Lopez.

Funeral services will be held 9:45am Saturday at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin. Burial will follow at St James Cemetery in Woodbridge.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 5pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Anna’s name to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to the March of Dimes Foundation.
