Andrew J. Lytkowski age 83 of Sayreville passed away Thursday July 17, 2014 at his home with his loving and devoted family at his side. Born in Sayreville he was a life long borough resident. Before his retirement 1 year ago he was the co-owner of A & A Renovations in Sayreville for 15 years and prior to that the owner of Village Apothecary in Sayreville for 30 years. Andrew was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a former member of Sayreville Knights of Columbus Council 2061. He was a 47 year member of the Sayreville Lions Club where he served in all capacities including past president. He served as past Lions Club District Governor and a member of Lions Delaware Valley Eye Bank.

He is predeceased by his parents Andrew and Mary Lytkowski and his brother David Lytkowski. Surviving are his wife of 60 years Joan Kraemer Lytkowski, his children and their spouse Mary Lee & Tim Dentz of Covington, Pennsylvania, Andrew Lytkowski & Laurie Pasternak of South River, and William M & Tamara Lytkowski of Ardmore, Ok., his grandchildren Brian, Yukiko, William and Josephine, his great grandson Brian, and his brother Robert Lytkowski and his wife Carol of Lynchburg, Va.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 10am mass at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, N.J.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Monday from 5pm to 8pm. Members of Sayreville Lions Club will meet Monday 7pm at the funeral home for services. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Lions Delaware Valley Eye Bank.
