We are heartbroken at the loss of our friend. Wayne was always a thoughtful, kind and dedicated person. He always wanted to know how our family were doing. Wayne had a way of providing comic relief with his perspective on life, work, family and friends. Here are some things he came to realize: 1. Family and friends are most important in our lives. He talked about the support he received during his illness- cleaning of his house, daily calls, delivery of books, taking him to a baseball game, delivery of food and the visits he received. He did indeed appreciate these acts of love and cherished the friends and family that brought him comfort. 2. Love your life, if you can't, change it so you can. Wayne realized that to love life you need to be willing to change. He realized his journey was not complete, but merely a work in progress. He made us laugh, not the quiet, brief chuckle but rather, the deep belly, I can't stop laughing type. He always made your stress level go down and helped place your concerns in a more realistic perspective. That's what you get from a great friend! We know he's at peace. We'll miss him dearly. He'll always be in our thoughts and prayers. Our best to all his family and friends.
