Obituary for Alma Brosius (Gutowski)
South River
Alma Brosius age 84, of South River passed away Monday January 11, 2016 at The Pavilions At Forrestal, Plainsboro. Born in South River she was a lifelong borough resident. Before he retirement in 1999 she was employed as a bank teller for 17 years at Pulaski Savings now Pulse Savings in South River and prior to that at South River Trust Company for 13 years. Mrs. Brosius was a live time communicant of Saint Mary of Ostrabrama R. C. Church in South River where she was a member of the Rosary Society and St Cecelia Choir as well as a member of the Melodeon Choir.
She is predeceased by her husband Harry F. Brosius in 2003, and her parents Joseph & Mary Gutowski. Surviving are her sons Michael and Christopher Brosius, her granddaughters Heather and Angela and her brother Joseph Gutowski.
Funeral services will be held Friday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Avenue South River followed by a 9am mass at with private cremation to follow.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Thursday from 7pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Alma’s name can be made to Saint Mary’s R. C. Church Jackson Street South River, N.J. 08882, Letters of condolence to the family, completed arrangements and directions may be found at www.maliszewskifuneralhome.com
