Obituary for Charlotte Pollack (Volk)
South River
Charlotte R. Pollack age 82 of South River passed away peacefully on Saturday
December 6, 2014 at her home with her loving family at her side. Born in
South Amboy, New Jersey, she had resided in South River since 1957. Mrs.
Pollack was a communicant of Saint Stephen’s Protomartyr Church in South
River. Charlotte was a Girl Scout and Brownie troop leader for many years, and
was an original Studio Girl cosmetic consultant. She retired after over 35 years
of service as a tax consultant for National Tax Services in East Brunswick, New
Jersey.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph J. Pollack in 2012 and her son in
law Philip Pankiewicz. Surviving are her children and their spouses Deborah &
John Vitale of Venice, Florida, Charlotte “Holly“ Pankiewicz of Bayville, and
Brenda & Patrick Francis of South River, her grandchildren Jennifer Lamanna,
Philip “PJ” Lamanna, Patrick Francis and Stephanie Francis, her great
grandchildren Seth Adams, Adam Lamanna and Gabriella Lamanna and her
siblings Joan Buffalino of FL, Kathleen Schank of FL, William Volk of FL,
Roberta Gardner of NJ and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday 9am from the Maliszewski Funeral
Home 218 Whitehead Avenue South River followed by a 9:30am mass at Saint
Stephen’s Protomartyr Church with burial to follow at Holy Cross Burial Park,
South Brunswick.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm
and 7pm to 9pm. In addition to flowers, the family has requested that
donations can be made to St Stephens R.C. Church Construction Fund. Letters
