Joseph G. Balde age 58 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away Friday September 5, 2014 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Newark he has resided in Sayreville for the past 51 years. Joseph was a 1974 graduate of Sayreville War Memorial High School and was employed for the past 5 years as a sales representative for Coca Cola in Dayton and prior to that for High Grade Beverage where he worked for over 10 years. Mr. Balde was a member of the Sayreville Knights of Columbus Council 2061, was an avid golfer and bowler where he was a member of the 700 club and a communicant of Saint Bernadette’s R. C. Church in Parlin.

He is predeceased by his parents Joseph S. Balde and Madeline Frino Balde. Surviving are his brother John Balde and his wife Theresa of Bayville, his niece and nephew Cindy & Jamie Adams and Jimmy Balde and his great nieces and nephew Liyah, John and Jennie Adams.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9:30am Mass at Saint Bernadette’s R. C. Church in Parlin with private cremation to follow.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm. Members of Sayreville Knights of Columbus Council 2061 will hold services Tuesday at 8pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in Joseph’s name be made to Sayreville Knights of Columbus Council 2061 Charity Fund.
