Varughese  George
Varughese George, age 69 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Kerala, India, son of the late M.V. Varughese and Rachelamma Varughese. He had resided in Sayreville for the past 35 years. Before his retirement in 2018 he was employed as an Engineering Technician for the United States Postal Service in Hoboken for 30 years. He was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Aleyamma Mathai George, his daughter Sophie George and her fiancé David L. Newlin III, his son Justin George. His siblings and their spouses: Jose Kk & Susan Jose, Cv Cherian & Alice Cherian, Mathew Varughese & Susan Mathew Varughese, Abraham Varughese & Sheelu Abraham, Thomas Varughese & Betty Thomas, Joseph Varughese & Molly Varughese, Lizy Thomas & Babu Thomas. His nieces and nephews: children of Susan: Neena Boban & Family and Joby, Sini & Family, children of Alice: Chinmya & Family, the late Ashish Cherian Mathew, children of Mathew: Roy & Family and Joyce & Family, children of Abraham: Jenny & Family and Allen Varughese, children of Thomas: Agnes Thomas, children of Lizy: Brent & Family and Bob & Family, His sister-in-law: Mary Joseph, his brother-in-laws: Geevarughese Mathew, Geevarughese PM, Geevarughese Thomas and the late Philip Mathew.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday 9:15am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Ln, Parlin with a 10am Mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at New Calvary Cemetery in Parlin. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Friday, from 4pm to 8pm. Masks are required while in the funeral home.
