Thomas Ryan, age 82 of Sayreville passed away Monday August 24th 2015 in Bethleham, PA. Born in Limerick, Ireland he was a lifelong resident of Sayreville. He was a Leading Aircraftman in the Royal Air Force, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2061 and before his retirement he was employed as a bill collector for Elizabeth Town Gas in Elizabeth for 40 years. Thomas will always be remembered by his sons as a “walking genius.”

He is predeceased by his son Brendan Ryan in 2001, his daughter Kathleen Ryan and his wife Mary Ann Ryan both in 2015 and by his siblings Francis, Anthony, Cora and Fidelma. Surviving are his sons and their wives William and Melissa Ryan of Bethlehem, PA and Thomas and Patricia Ryan of Point Pleasant, his grandchildren Thomas, Sean, Kyle, Sarah and Hannah and his siblings Phyllis, Milly, Margaret, George, Patricia, Elizabeth, Gerard and Olivia.

Funeral services will be held Friday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a 9:30am Mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
