Obituary for Susan "Sue" Jadus-Weir

Parlin
Susan Jadus-Weir, age 73, of Parlin, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 at her home in Beverly Hills, FL, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Staten Island, NY to the late Bernard and Aileen Wisser, Susan was raised in Hazlet and graduated from Raritan High School in 1967, later moving to Parlin where she spent most of her life. Susan then split her time between Parlin and FL after her retirement. She was a longtime nurse (LPN), beginning her career with Staten Island University Hospital in 1986. She later joined the staff at the Dept. of Veteran Affairs Hospital in Hamilton and worked there for over 40 years. Sue refused to retire until the final World War II Veteran under her care passed on in 2020, showing her undying dedication to her profession and her patients.

Mrs. Jadus-Weir also volunteered as an EMT with the Madison Park First Aid Squad. She was the first female President of the squad as well as ex-captain and treasurer, donating her time for nearly 40 years. Friends and family always said how kind-hearted and loving Sue was, especially to Veterans and animals. She gave everyone the benefit of the doubt, helping those around her as often as possible. Those who knew and loved her were honored to have such a wonderful person in their lives. She will be deeply missed.

Susan is predeceased by her beloved husband David Weir and Edward Jadus. Surviving are her loving siblings Allen, Debbie, Diane, Douglas and David Wisser.

Calling hours at the funeral home will take place on Sunday, March 27 from 1pm to 5pm.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10am on Monday, March 28 at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with burial to follow at 12:30pm at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
