Obituary for Suqin Wu

Sayreville
Suqin Wu, age 79, of Sayreville, peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, August 21, 2023, with her loving family at her side. Born and raised in Henan, China, Suqin was the first from her village to attend college, having later graduated from medical school and embarking on a long and successful career as a physician specializing in internal medicine. Long after her retirement, Mrs. Wu’s reputation and legacy followed her, treating patients as if they were her own family, always with their best interests at heart. She was a lifetime student with a great desire to constantly learn, even into the later stages of her life.

Suqin was born the oldest of 6, taking care of her extended family throughout her lifetime, both medically and physically. She showed this most when her husband was ill, becoming his full-time caretaker, taking him to the doctor and dialysis appointments. She gave her all to make sure that her family was well taken care of and loved – there was nothing more important and treasured to Suqin than her family. Without her encouragement, her children may never have come to the United States to better their lives. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Suqin is predeceased by her beloved husband Jiaqi Wang. Surviving are her loving children and their spouses Meg Wang and Wing Chan of Sayreville, and Yongxing Wang and Crystal Lu of CA; her dear grandchildren Justin and Ethan Wang of CA, and Felicia and Isaac Chan of Sayreville; as well as many dear family and friends around the world.

All services are private to family only under the direction of the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin.
