Obituary for Stanley E Zyskowski
Stanley E. Zyskowski, age 96 of Sayreville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at his home. Born in Sayreville, he was a lifelong borough resident. He was a proud US Veteran of the Navy serving during World War II and in the Navy Fleet Reserve and Seabees for 35 years. Before his retirement, Stanley was employed as a building inspector by the Borough of Sayreville for 13 years. Prior to that he worked for EI DuPont in Parlin for 40 years. He was a communicant of St Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville and a member of the Sayreville American Legion Post 211.
He is predeceased by his parents Alex and Elizabeth Zyskowski, his siblings Alex, Frank, Edward, Mary Olszewski and Ann Smijocki, his wife Mabel and his daughter Mary Ann Hostettler. Surviving are his son; David Zyskowski, his grandchildren and their spouses; Melissa and Keith Greaux and Nicole Hostettler and Jeremy Bohn, his great granddaughter; Mackenzie, his son-in- law; Mike Hostettler and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 8:30am Wednesday from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St, Sayreville, with a 9am Mass at St Stanislaus Kostka Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at St Stanislaus Cemetery in Sayreville.
