Sidney Marques, age 53, of Union peacefully passed away at his home on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Born and raised in Newark to Armando and Maria DeLourdes Barros Marques, Sidney moved to Union 17 years ago where he has lived ever since. Mr. Marques was a hardworking man, most recently as a forklift operator with Alberti Woodworking, Inc in Union. He was an animal lover and enjoyed riding motorcycles in his spare time. He will be missed by his dear family and friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Sidney is predeceased by his father Armando Marques. Surviving is his loving mother Maria DeLourdes Marques of Union; his sisters Solange Martinez of Union, Simone Marques DaSilva of Roselle Park, Sandra Marques of Iselin, Sidneia Marques Sharif and her husband Mudassar of Union, and Sonia Marques-Monroy of Colonia; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday at 10am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with burial to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in East Brunswick.
