Scott Jurkiewicz was unexpectedly called home on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. He was 54 years old. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, Scott was a lifelong resident of Sayreville.
Scott was an equipment operator for the Middlesex County Roads Department for 15 years. He was an avid lover of sports and a truly dedicated family man. He was active in the Knights of Columbus and a member of the St. Stanislaus Holy Name Society.
Scott is predeceased by his parents Ralph Jurkiewicz and Gloria Barella and his brother Paul. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Coleen (Lynch); his brothers Richard, Joseph Jay, Ralph and his wife Vicki, Perry and his wife Vicky; his sister, Cindy Mele and her partner John Asch; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved dog, Willow. Over the last several years, he has raised his great nephew as his own, and Logan Lynch will greatly miss his “Poppa Scott”.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 am on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Maliszewski Funeral Home, 121 Main Street in Sayreville, followed by a 9:00 am mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
