Santa Maria "Sadie" Gawron age 90 of Sayreville passed away Tuesday, January 11th, 2022 at her home with her loving family at her side. Born in South Amboy, she was a lifelong resident of Sayreville. Before her retirement Sadie worked as an administrative assistant for Amboy Bank in Old Bridge. She owned and operated Mike’s Tavern in South Amboy for 16 years with her husband. She enjoyed playing bingo, cheering on The Mets and traveling in her spare time. Sadie was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 211, a lifelong member of the OLV Columbiettes Council 2061 and a member of the Sayreville Seniors St Stan’s Tuesday Club.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years Alfred Gawron, her parents Valerio and Mary Tarallo and her brother Francis Tarallo. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Michael and Terri Gawron, with whom she lived, John Gawron, Alfred Gawron Jr., George and Nora Gawron and William and Debbie Gawron, her grandchildren, Kimberly Gawron, Michael Jr. and his wife Amanda Gawron, William Gawron Jr. and Alfred Gawron III, her great grandchildren, Brianna, Chelsea and Juliana and her beloved goldendoodle Morgan as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Funeral Mass is being offered 10am Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, South Amboy. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
