Ruth Nole of South River went to Heaven to join her beloved husband Joseph who died in 1970. Ruth passed away in Old Bridge on November 28, 2021. Born in Scranton, Ruth graduated from Marywood University and went on to teach in the South River School District for 40 years. She retired in 2004. Ruth was awarded Teacher of the year for the Middle School and the District in 2003. She was named to the Who's Who of American Teachers by a former student. Ruth was a member of the N.E.A. and N.J.R.E.A. for Retired Teachers, a volunteer for the South River Domestic Violence Team for five years and a parishioner at St. Mary's Ostrabrama Church of South River

She is predeceased by her parents Madeline and Fred Loveland, a great niece Colleen Ruthann Crane, and brother-in-law John W. Gilbert Jr.

Surviving is her sister Jean Gilbert of PA; nephew John Gilbert (Susan) of Palmyra, PA; niece Ruth Gilbert Crane (Travis) of Hinckley, OH; Great-niece Grace Gilbert; Great nephews Andrew Gilbert, Ryan, Benjamin and Gavin Crane; sister-in-law Angela (Ronald) Golden of Naples, FL; Nephew Tim Golden; Niece Gia Golden Manning; Great- niece and nephew Cody and Teagan Manning. Ruth would also like to lovingly acknowledge her friends, especially Karen and Rich Satterthwaite and Janet and George Satterthwaite.
